Majan Consolidated, began operations in a modest way through the establishment of ‘Wadi Muscat Trading & Contracting Enterprise’ in 1977. Since then, Majan Consolidated has gradually grown and diversified to emerge amongst the reputable groups in Oman. Today, the company has a presence in myriad areas, which include entertainment and amusement, construction, manufacturing, education, human resources training & development, photography, agriculture, real estate, publication, distribution & advertising services.

Major area of expertise
Infrastructure, real estate and industrial projects are witnessing unprecedented growth and construction is riding piggy-back on these sectors. To be a part of this growth story, as also to bridge the demand supply gap, Majan Consolidated setup a steel bar manufacturing facility at Rusayl, under the banner of Hadid Majan LLC. It is currently the only steel bar manufacturing unit in the capital area of Muscat and manufactures High Yield Strength Deformed Steel Bars from Steel Billets. Hadid Majan commenced commercial production in January 2003 and since, has been growing from strength to strength. The unit caters to the growing needs of the sector.
As far as education is concerned, Majan Consolidated setup National Private School and also Majan Human Resources, which is a division of Wadi Muscat Trading and Contracting.

“We felt that we should contribute to imparting quality education to young Omanis and Arab expatriates alike. Our objective for education is not commercial. We want to inculcate academic, social and moral values of the highest order, for the future generations,” says HH Al Said.
In education, the group has a well-qualified and dedicated team of professionals to ensure that the educational institute meets its objectives of the exemplary standards for curricular activities. Also, the education institutions by the group focus on extra-curricular activities to ensure the all-round development of students.
Achievements
The achievements of Majan Consolidated have been numerous, since it commenced operations. For example, until 2003, marketing of steel bars in Oman was a difficult proposition, as only imported steel bars were accepted in the Oman market, especially in the interior region. By establishing a distribution chain and co-coordinated marketing strategy, Hadid Majan helped break the monopoly. The result is that today, the steel produced in Oman is popular with the industry. The steel manufactured by the group caters to the highest standards in quality.
Another area, where the group has made remarkable progress has been Omanisation. The focus of the group has always been on developing a skilled Omani workforce. To encourage more Omani nationals to join the group, and work in an atmosphere of trust and team work, a human resource department has been set up with an Omani as its manager.
Future Plans
“Since His Majesty ascended the throne the nation has crossed many remarkable milestones in the last 38 years. Today, the Sultanate is a key player in the region and recognised internationally. Oman’s economy has been steadily improving driven by high public investment in infrastructure and well-planned diversification.
Majan Consolidated has taken advantage of the opportunities and has successfully shown a whopping growth in the past five years,” says HH Al Said. The demand for the company’s steel products has been witnessing a meteoric rise. To cater to the growing demand, plans are afoot to complete the expansion as early as is possible. The group is in various stages of implementation of the project and it is expected that it would be able to supply its range of products in the near future.
Continuing in its endeavour to excel in imparting education, the group is going ahead with the establishment of an Omani private school. Among other projects that are contemplated in the near future, include an ambitious transformation of the existing amusement park into a world class themed attraction and the establishment of a five- star resort and wellness spa. “We want to contribute in our very own way to the tourism sector. We believe that Oman is blessed abundantly with breathtaking beauty and the five-star hotel and wellness spa will compliment the sector,” says HH Al Said.
With a constant focus on quality and a clear vision of the future, Majan Consolidated is expected to play a significant part in Oman’s growth.
